This skill addresses the pain point of quickly and objectively verifying the authenticity of online information in the era of information overload. Whether it's rumors on social media, news alerts, or questionable data encountered in work or study, users need a neutral and rigorous tool to help make judgments and avoid being influenced by erroneous or misleading information when making decisions.

Usage is simple: you just need to make a request like "verify/check this/is this true/is this correct" to the AI assistant integrated with this skill, along with the specific statement to be verified. The skill will then automatically break down the verifiable claims within the statement and, following a predefined strict process, cross-reference information from multiple sources such as government, official channels, mainstream media, fact-checking sites, X (Twitter), and Reddit, ultimately generating an integrated conclusion.

It is well-suited for teams or individuals who handle large volumes of external information and prioritize accuracy. This is especially true for content creators, social media managers, academic researchers, journalists, and any professionals with high demands for information authenticity. Using this skill for fact-checking before writing reports, publishing content, making investments, or conducting academic research can effectively mitigate risks.

It is recommended to use this tool uniformly for quick, preliminary verification of publicly available information. Note that it primarily verifies based on publicly accessible information and cannot cover non-public or paywalled content. Its internal scoring mechanism is not disclosed, and the final output is an integrated qualitative conclusion (Correct/Incorrect/Partially Correct/Insufficient Evidence), not a quantitative score.

Key Features

Unlike traditional single search engine queries, it enforces a multi-source (including official, media, and social platforms) cross-verification strategy with Tavily as the priority, and incorporates a rigorous "Claim Core First" judgment rule and a 100-point internal scoring system, aiming to reduce overly strict misjudgments caused by deviations in non-core details.

Limitations

Its verification capability is limited by the availability of public information and relies on the availability of external APIs such as Tavily, Twitter CLI, and Reddit CLI. When these services are unavailable, the depth and breadth of verification will be affected.

FAQ

Does this skill tell me the specific credibility score of the information?

No. To keep the conclusion concise and avoid misinterpretation of scores, the skill uses an internal 100-point standardized scoring system but only outputs qualitative conclusions externally—"Correct," "Incorrect," "Partially Correct," or "Insufficient Evidence"—without disclosing the specific score.

Can it verify all types of information?

It primarily targets verifiable factual claims. For opinions, satire, and predictive information, the skill will handle them separately; for example, it does not make true/false judgments on predictive information, only compiling currently verifiable situations. Judgments on information in specific domains such as public safety, medical risks, and financial fraud will be more stringent.
