This platform addresses the challenges organizations face when deploying generative AI, such as high costs, data security concerns, and inflexible model switching. Traditional per-seat SaaS solutions are difficult to scale, while self-building requires significant technical investment. AgentCore Public Stack provides an out-of-the-box, full-stack solution that enables organizations to quickly deploy their own AI assistants.

Getting started is simple: just fork the repository to your own GitHub, follow the GitHub Actions quick-start guide to configure your AWS environment, and you can complete the deployment in about an hour. Afterward, you can configure multi-model support, tools and MCP servers, quota controls, cost tracking, and role permissions through the admin dashboard—without writing any Agent code.

It's ideal for educational institutions, enterprises, or government departments that require secure, controllable, and scalable AI capabilities. Teams already using AWS cloud services, especially those wishing to keep all data within their own accounts, can avoid data leakage risks while flexibly switching between models like Claude, Llama, and Mistral.

It is recommended for teams with an existing AWS account and familiarity with basic cloud service deployment. Note that the platform is based on the PolyForm Noncommercial license; commercial use requires separate licensing. Primarily designed for U.S. organizational environments (e.g., the prototype from Boise State University), deployment in China regions may require adaptation.

Key Features

Unlike most open-source AI platforms (such as Dify or Open WebUI), AgentCore is deeply integrated with AWS Bedrock AgentCore and Strands Agents. It is natively designed for organizational-level multi-tenancy, cost attribution, and tool management, rather than merely providing a chat interface.

Limitations

Requires an AWS account and depends on Bedrock services. Deployment requires Python 3.13+, Angular v21, and Node.js environments. Does not support one-click deployment on non-AWS cloud platforms.

FAQ

Can non-AWS users deploy it?

Currently, it is tightly coupled with AWS Bedrock. Migrating to other clouds would require modifying the backend adaptation layer yourself.

Which models are supported?

Supports Claude, Llama, Mistral, GPT, Gemini, and others, accessible via Bedrock or custom endpoints.
