Resize images from URL -- custom width/height, format conversion (PNG/JPEG/WebP), aspect ratio preserved. Pay-per-call via [x402](https://x402.org) (USDC on Base L2) -- no API key, no signup, no rate-limit wall.

Any x402-aware client ([`@x402/fetch`](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@x402/fetch), [`x402-agent-tools`](https://www.npmjs.com/package/x402-agent-tools), ATXP) handles the 402 -> sign -> retry cycle automatically.

### `media_resize_image`

Use this when you need to resize an image from a URL or convert its format. Returns the resized image as base64 with metadata in JSON.

**Parameters**

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `url` | string | yes | URL of the image to resize |
| `width` | number | no | Target width in pixels (maintains aspect ratio if height is omitted) |
| `height` | number | no | Target height in pixels (maintains aspect ratio if width is omitted) |
| `format` | string | no | Output format: 'png', 'jpeg', or 'webp' (default: png) |

Example response:

**When to use**: creating thumbnails, optimizing images for web, preparing social media images, resizing for email templates, and batch image processing.

**Not for**: OCR text extraction (use `media_extract_text_from_image`), QR code generation (use `utility_generate_qr_code`), screenshots (use `capture_screenshot`).
