hook-voice-patterns Living swipe file of native hook templates from real content You want hooks that feel like they belong on the feed, using proven voice and format patterns
ad-concept-generator Develop hooks into strategic ad concepts for paid social You have a hook and need to build it into a full creative brief
ugc-scriptwriter Draft authentic UGC-style scripts for creator content You need a script a creator can actually film

Getting Started

Open your terminal (wherever you use skills) and paste this:

npx skills add motion-creative/skills

That's it. The skills are now available in every conversation. No configuration needed.

Not sure if it worked? Ask the agent: "What Motion skills do I have installed?"

How to Use

No special commands. No syntax to memorize. The skills activate automatically when your request matches what they do — just talk to the agent like you normally would.

Here are some prompts to try:

Generate hooks:

"Help me brainstorm hooks for my fitness app targeting women 25-35 who hate the gym"

Build an ad concept:

"Take this hook and turn it into a full ad concept: 'You've reread that same paragraph 4 times'"

Write a UGC script:

"Write a 30-second UGC script for noise-canceling headphones, casual tone, for TikTok"

Chaining Skills Together

The skills work best as a pipeline with Hook Writing as the entry point:

  1. Start with hook-writing — describe your product, persona, and goal; the skill selects psychological triggers and awareness strategy, then writes hooks and opening lines.
  2. Let hook-writing pull in hook-tactics when needed — when you ask for hooks "by tactic type" or want broad tactic coverage (e.g. Contrarian, Urgency, Listicle), Hook Writing references the Hook Tactics library to choose and explain the right frames.
  3. Let hook-writing pull in hook-voice-patterns for native patterns — when you want hooks that feel like native TikTok/IG content or ask for templates/patterns, Hook Writing uses the Voice Patterns skill as a structural swipe file, then fills in product and persona details.
  4. Take your best hooks → ask the agent (via ad-concept-generator) to develop them into full ad concepts with audience, format, and messaging.
  5. Take the concept → ask the agent (via ugc-scriptwriter) to write it as a UGC script ready for production.

You can do this in a single conversation. Keep building on what the agent gives you.

What Makes These Different

These aren't generic AI prompts. Each skill is built on real creative strategy frameworks that top-performing brands use every day.

Jump right in — describe your product and get output immediately. No setup, no discovery questions, no friction.

Go deeper when you want to — answer a few targeted questions about your audience, positioning, and goals for sharper, more specific results.

Learn the craft — each skill explains why certain approaches work, so you get better at creative strategy over time — not just better at prompting.

Want to Scale This?

These skills are great for ideation and one-off projects. When you're ready to analyze what's actually working across thousands of ads and generate concepts based on real performance data, that's what Motion is built for.
